About the band
MaNyasa brings together Wambali’s closest musical collaborators alongside the next generation of Malawian jazz and gospel artists. Together they create performances that closely honor his songwriting while inviting fresh interpretations and expanded arrangements.
The ensemble bridges Wambali’s tradition of soulful vocals, rich horn textures, and rhythmic storytelling with contemporary stagecraft and cultural outreach. Their concerts are both tribute and continuation.
